Lakewire Technology Services provides in-person technology help for homes and small businesses in Chicago's western and southwestern suburbs. This notice explains what information we receive through this website, by phone, by email, and during a visit, and what we do with it. What we receive

The request form asks for your name, email, whether the request is for a home or a business, your town or ZIP code, and a description of what is happening. Phone number, service, and company name are optional. When you call or email us, we receive your phone number or email address and whatever you choose to tell us.

Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers, or other sensitive account details through the form or by email. We will never ask for them.

How we use it

We use what you send us to reply, understand the problem, prepare a written scope and quote, arrange a visit, and keep a record of the work we do for you. We do not sell or rent your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

During a visit

You stay in control of your accounts and sign in yourself. We work only with the information the agreed job needs, such as the files being moved in a migration, and we do not keep copies of your data once the work is done unless you ask us to.

Services that help us run the site

When you send the form, your browser passes your entries to Web3Forms, which emails them to us. Your email becomes the reply address. A confirmation on screen means Web3Forms accepted your request; it does not book an appointment.

Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any host, it processes technical information such as IP addresses, browser type, and the pages requested, so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Each provider handles information under its own privacy policy.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or marketing cookies, and fonts and images are served from the site itself. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people apart from automated traffic. The form includes a hidden field that people never see; requests that fill it in are treated as automated and are not sent.

How long we keep it

We keep request emails, quotes, and visit notes for as long as they help us serve you and as needed for ordinary business and tax records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will, unless we have to keep something to meet a legal obligation.

Your choices

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@lakewire.net or call (708) 966-9790, and we will respond as soon as we can.

Children

Our services are arranged with adults. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. You can reach us any time from the contact page.
