Computer help and home office setup

A new laptop still in the box, an old computer that has slowed to a crawl, or a home office that never quite came together: we sort it out in person, and explain what we changed.

One desk, set up the way you work.

Sound familiar?

  • A new laptop is still in the box
  • The computer takes forever to start or keeps freezing
  • Files need to move from an old computer to a new one
  • The printer, monitor, or dock never quite connects
  • You want a proper home office instead of a laptop on the kitchen table

What we do

Computers and home offices

Get a new computer set up the way you actually work, sort out a machine that has become slow or unreliable, or bring a desk, display, and printer together into one setup that makes sense.

Upgrades and installations

Coordinate new equipment and larger improvements with a written scope. Compatibility, cost, and installation requirements are reviewed together before any work is approved.

What we look at

  • Start-up items and storage slowing things down
  • Updates, backups, and the accounts you sign in with
  • Displays, docks, and printers on the same desk
  • Files and settings moving from an old machine

A machine set up around how you work, with notes on what was changed.

How it works

  1. Tell us what is happening. Use the form or call, in your own words. No technical terms needed.
  2. Approve a written scope and quote. Nothing starts until you do, and we don’t go beyond it without your sign-off.
  3. We do the work, then walk you through it. You keep written notes on what changed.

Common questions

Anything else, ask in your request or on the phone.

Ask a question
Can you move my files to a new computer?

Yes. Files and settings move from the old machine to the new one, and you sign in to your own accounts yourself.

My computer is slow. Can you fix it?

We look at start-up items, storage, updates, and backups, then explain what is slowing it down and what is worth changing. If a part or a new machine would help more, we say so and quote it first.

Do you set up printers, monitors, and docks?

Yes. Displays, docks, and printers on the same desk are part of a home office setup.

What about backups?

Updates and backups are part of what we check, so you know what is protected and how.

You can start with “it’s not working.”

A few sentences are enough. We’ll ask about anything else we need to know.
